About BritsNîmes

BritsNîmes is an English-speaking association, offering a varied programme of events.  We hold monthly activities in Nîmes, Uzès, Alès, Sauve and Sommières.  You will be able to meet people, get to know the area and share your experiences with other like-minded friends.

In addition to special events / cultural visits each month, we organise coffee mornings, apéro evenings and book clubs in local areas.  Click on the link here for a full list of regular BritsNîmes’ activities.

We regularily raise funds for local charities.  This year our nominated charity is CSF Provence Gard which is affiliated to Cancer Support France, an organisation supporting English-speaking people touched by cancer and living in France.  Click on the above link for more information.

Despite its name, the Association is not just for British people living in Nîmes, although it was founded by one 20 years ago!  Today we have around 400 members from over 20 different countries, some resident for many years, while others are new arrivals.  

BritsNîmes is always delighted to welcome new members, with membership open to individuals, couples or families.  Do come along to one of our monthly coffee mornings (see calendar) to find out more about us before joining.  Annual membership fees are €18 for individuals and €28 for couples/families.  After joining, you’ll receive our event flyers and monthly newsletters.
